Trondheimsveien 37

Trondheimsveien 37 is located in the area Sofienberg. The address is close to beautiful and green surroundings like the Botanical garden and Sofienberg park. It’s is walking distance to the city center and it takes approx. 5 minutes walk to the popular district Günerløkka with its exciting shops, bars and restaurants. The building is in classic brick construction from the 60s and in 2009 it was converted into student housing. Most  of the apartments have French balconies or regular balconies, some of the largest apartments have both. There are a total of 5 floors and a lift in the building.

Oslo city centre is compact and much of it can be navigated on foot but with trains, buses, trams and metro system, Oslo residents are spoilt for choice with options for getting around the city.

Just outside Trondheimsveien 37 is the tram stop Lakkegata school, where the 17 tram passes and Sars gate (temporary stop) where the 31 bus leaves at all hours of the day. The nearest bicycle stand is called Sofienberggata and is located just outside the entrance to the building. Carl Berner’s Square is the nearest subway station.

In Trondheimsveien 37 there are 43 student apartments in different categories and sizes of 1-room apartments, 2-room apartments and Large 2-room apartments. The apartments  are suitable for the single, couple, good friends or families.

On the ground floor of Trondheim Road 37 there is an Italian restaurant named Pane e Vino that offers an exciting selection of classic Italian dishes such as pizzas, pastas and tapas. Just across the street for Trondheim Road 37 you will find food and grocery shops like Joker, Rema 1000, Kiwi and Deli Deluca.

There is a lot going on in the Sofienberg Park in the summer as it is one of Oslo’s largest parks and a natural and popular meeting place for the city’s young students. The park is a great place to be “where it happens”. You can sunbathe, climb the line, use outdoor exercise equipment or barbecue. It is also a short walk to Tøyen where you will find cheap vegetable shops so that you on a student budget can stay healthy and satisfied. In addition, Tøyen Torg has undergone a major upgrade in recent years – here you will find Deichmanske library, bookstore, and a wide selection of dining and serving places.

In Trondheimsveien, the municipality of Oslo manages the parking. Much of the parking in downtown Oslo has become resident parking. Check how much it costs and how to register your car. Read the signs carefully before parking the car. When moving in / moving out, we recommend that a person watch the car while moving to avoid any parking-fee. 

You can find your mailbox at the entrance. In order to receive mail, you must report change of address to Posten.

There is a storage unit for all the apartments in the basement. The storage unit is marked with the same number as your room number. Remember to put your own padlock on the storage unit when moving in.

You can park your bike in a stand in the backyard of Trondheimsveien 37 or in the basement. Bicycles parked on site are under your own responsibility.
